Well I guess it's about time I actually post something on here. I'm hoping that this won't turn out like all my past attempts at blogging; a valliant effort in the beginning, but slowly discarded and forgotten.
I'll begin with an introduction of sorts. I am a PhD. student at the University of Manitoba in the department of Anthropology. I will be strating my second year this Fall. I fall into the physical or biological side or anthropology since I study osteology (bones). My research focuses on childhood health as evaluated using growth and development patterns in past populations. This is the 'bones' part of the blog.
The 'sticks' part refers to the hobby that has kept me (mostly) sane through this most recent venture into academia; knitting.
It's a bit of a mix, but we'll see how it works.
